Why Choose Triumphant Tails?

When choosing a training organization, consider that you will be working closely for an extended period so finding the right fit is important. Here are some things that set Triumphant Tails apart:

CUSTOM TAILORED TO YOU

Triumphant Tails works closely with clients on an ongoing basis throughout the process to develop a custom plan to meet specific needs and abilities.

RESCUES, NOT PUPPIES

Triumphant Tails typically starts with rescued dogs around one year of age so that the temperament of the dog can be matched to a handler and tasks required.

WORKS WITH CHILD HANDLERS

Triumphant Tails works with handlers 8 years old and up.

FAMILIES MAY HAVE AN EXISTING PET

Triumphant Tails will train a dog for a family that already has a pet in the home. In some cases Triumphant Tails may even assist handlers in training their existing pet dog to become a service or therapy dog.

ENCOURAGES HANDLER INVOLVEMENT

Triumphant Tails encourages / requires family and handler involvement in training throughout the process rather than just for 2 weeks right before certification

WAITING LIST IS NOT MULTIPLE YEARS LONG

While the actual training may take 6 to 18 months, the waiting list to start the training process with Triumphant Tails is not years long.

KEEP YOUR DOG UPON RETIREMENT

Upon retirement of your service or therapy animal, Triumphant Tails allows you to keep the dog, not return it to the training organization.

COST MANAGEMENT

While adding a service dog can cost upwards of $20,000 to $25,000 with other organizations, cost management strategies are used at Triumphant Tails to significantly reduce that to typically less than $12,000 to the family.
